Lets not go there . We beat a second string Aussie side . However I believe only India and England possess mental strength to beat Aussies in a knockout game .
they can't even do it in a group game against the worst aussie bowling lineup to ever take the park in a CT aint no way they're challenging us in a knockout tbh

You'd have to think India will win this easily now, with only perennial semi-final chokers SA and perennial final chokers NZ left in the competition.

Not this current set of tossers, but can't think of anyone other than India or England that have beaten Australia in a recent knockout match (say last 15-20 years). Would have to check to make sure though.

They're quite clearly the favourites in conditions they strong-armed their way into, although they would have been favourites in Pakistan, too.

Hopeless **** aus selectors. peanuts for brains. keeping picking bad players(Connolly, JFM previous), what u expect. Basically played with 10 players. To lose narrowly is a fair result considering. The other players cant be faulted.

Don't forget India only won because Gill did a Beau Webster and did a cheat catch
He was in control of the movement. rules dont specify how many seconds. E.g. herschelle gibbs, was not in control of his movement as he celebrated prematurely.

There was, however, no question about the legality of his catch given the control he was in of both the ball and his movement.

India will probably seed the clouds above their home ground and win via some obscure count back rule after a washout

tbf, it’s the ending that this tournament deserves

Since 2007 ODI WC , Aus have lost total 5 knockouts in ICC TOURNAMENTS ( WTC + ODI WC + WT20 ) . 3 to India ( WT20 2007 SF , ODI WC 2011 QF and yesterday) and 2 to Eng ( 2010 WT20 Final and 2019 ODI WC SF ) . Rest of the Teams haven’t beaten Aus in knockouts in last 20 years .

And they still would have won if they'd taken their catches. Piss poor.
They would have won if Smith didn’t have a brainfade. What was he thinking? Carey was batting so beautifully . I was watching match with my friends and general feeling at that time was that Aus are definitely scoring 290-300 . Only explanation for Smith’s shot is that he was tired due to Dubai heat .

Don't think Smith was comfortable enough overall though, given the way he tried charging just before getting out. All that said, it's a bit funny reading through the thread post game.

What is your opinion on Kuldeep now ? I have given up on him . He is a mental midget who crumbles as soon as he is attacked.
I expected him to do better. He hasn't been very effective since his return last month in general. Right now Varun is better.

PS. We have returned to Kulcha (Kuldeep + Chakravarthy)
