if twitter was being used as a barometer for the temperature check of a certain demographic on a certain topic, then we'd be asking for internet access to the great nation of India to be removed.

twitter is a cesspit.
Actually I would second that . I would like people to post from their verified account on social media so that they don’t abuse others from anonymous account.

Can answer your point in detail. But then this thread will become too political. So let’s end the political debate in this thread. My point is majority of neutrals love watching India lose in cricket just like people love watching England lose in football.
Still reckon more people prefer England/Australia to lose depending on your affiliation....

Whatever it takes!!!
England football team hasn't boycotted playing at another countries' major tournament though, so bore off with this "we are the underdog" bollocks
Relax dude. I get the feeling you are way too heated for any rational thoughts to flow through. There is a difference between a boycott and not getting a security clearance from Government to play somewhere.

Maybe. But I was really surprised when so many people of other Countries were happy on social media that we lost 2023 WC final 😂

A bit of fun and ribbing is fine, heck, even wanting India to lose is totally fine. But the idiocy paraded here with the mixing up of the team, as if they wanted any of this to happen, to the moronic defense of actual terrorist attacks have been nothing short of extraordinarily stupid even here at CW. But thankfully, those remain a minority of this forum.

And @Silly Point 2.0 - have a feeling you have no idea what you are talking about, so lets drop pretensions to knowing things that you clearly dont, heh?
Let’s end the political discussion here . They aren’t interested in our war just like we aren’t interested in theirs .India is one of the few countries that has maintained a very healthy relationship with Russia despite last 3 years war . So maybe they don’t want to understand our position.

That tournament was like walking into a rich fat dude's home and being told over and over again by the host just what a rich, fat dude he is. Never cringed so hard as at those breaks during India's games.
I know that was highly obnoxious but is Cricket even an international sport at present without India . In Today’s semi-final at Dubai I could hardly spot very few Australian supporters .
I think people of Australia/England care only about Ashes, ODI WC and maybe India series. They aren’t emotionally invested in Cricket like us .

See, the problem is not that cricket is big in India. But the ads and the entire ecosystem is just amazingly self centered. Its not even arrogant arrogant like the Aussies or obnoxious ignorance like England. Its almost as if the entire world exists only for Indian cricket to make the most money. I definitely agree that the T20 WC timings were a disgrace. You gotta play at the time that makes most sense for the host country, but even Windies bilaterals against India for white ball stuff is done with IST friendly timings in mind. Surely some of the folks in the BCCI can talk to the broadcasters and help find a way to have them host the games at a time that makes sense to them.

But then again, a lot of these boards do sell the broadcast rights to India seperately and wanna make money off it and this is one of the perks or levers they have. I dont think BCCI actually has any role in this bs. Even the ICC made the telecast deal promising all tournaments in SC friendly timezones, I think. Its fun to bash BCCI coz they do so many bad things but these two issues are a direct result of ICC and the other boards simply wanting the most money they can get from telecast rights cycle.

You and your friend made this thread TWICE about a POLITICAL problem and expect politics not to be brought up.

No I'm not going to support another match being played in a country where the host has been barred out.

no the indian posters in this forum have gone too far. it's bad enough and a disgrace to sports that this has occurred, and then for two threads to be made gloating about the subject and calling for further action against the host nation is just plainly disrespectful.

As opposed to other posters who are blaming India for ICC scheduling Dubai semi final on Tuesday instead of Thursday. All of this drama started when Aus and SA both visited Dubai on Saturday and then one had to return because Dubai SF was on Tuesday . Are your Captains blind? They didn’t see the schedule. They should have objected in the beginning itself.

I think it would have been unfair to India if they were asked to play semis and finals in Pakistan as rest of the teams have clear advantage after playing there. So good on India for sticking to the principles. Also good on Austria for making it to semis, its rare to see minnow teams do good. And before any smartass asks what's stopping India from playing in Pakistan. Well what's stopping others form playing in Dubai? Checkmate losers.

Please don’t post like this . This would only make other posters more angry . You have a logical point then put here . We certainly have a huge advantage in this Tournament because ICC/PCB have scheduled all our matches at Dubai instead of both Dubai and Sharjah .
