Semi-Final #1- India v Australia- Tuesday, March 4th- Dubai

Molehill

Cricketer Of The Year
Does that demean my point at all? The new white ball swinging excessively for the first 4 overs is nothing new. Terrible innings from cooper, but bringing up the pitch being good for playing pace is a bit silly when both bats where struggling early.
It really wasn't swinging that much, Connolly just kept missing it. Head barely played a shot in anger during that period whereas Connolly just kept swinging wildly until he finally got a nick on one (and even that seemingly inaudible to the umpire).

International Regular
Cooper Connolly now averages 5.00 in 3 ODI's to go with his 4.00 in one Test and never had to bat in two T20I's.

And as a so called allrounder he still has never taken an international or first class wicket in 10 games lol
NZ fans gripe about Gary Stead's tendency to go for grizzled veterans for big tournaments (and generally) but Australia seem to have gone to the other extreme in promoting 21 yr old Connolly to bat in a position he has barely played before in a semi-final.

Must be nice knowing you can safely pack your 15 man squad with 4 spinners knowing you're playing all your games in spinny Dubai

That looked out, surprised Marnus didn't try to review but Smith must have told him to walk.

It was only just clipping leg though.

Good start from Inglis. Looks so comfortable against spin.

His innings of 30 odd on a rank turner against SA in the world cup semi was one of the knocks that won them the world cup
