Actually, thinking about it, not quite true. If Afghan beat Eng, then Afghan/Aus was rained off and England gave SA a trouncing, then Afghan could beat SA on NRR.

But that's a pretty unlikely course of events.....

It's also made the Afghanistan vs Australia game pretty relevant too , even if Afghanistan lose to England, if they can beat Australia which takes place before England vs SA , then there could be a scenario where SA can lose by a certain amount of runs to England and knockout Australia lol

Makes no sense as even if someone won today they still wouldn't have been locked into the semi-final as 3 teams could have all ended on the same 4 points
