He's absolutely amazing !

He's averaging 39 with the bat at 115 SR
And his bowling average is now 33 at an economy of just under 5.
That's a great all rounder in my book

Not something I thought I'd be writing in 2022, but it wouldn't be a stretch to call Macewell NZ's most important ODI player (from a "balance to the side perspective").

Him being injured during a 2023 WC definitely made NZ the lesser side - Chapman could do little as a batter at.no 7 and Neesham's bowling was a massive downgrade.

Yeah sure, but had he been fit I think they would strongly have considered going with both and leaving Neesham (who hadn't played ODIs for quite a while) out.
