Oh the place is grim. But sky blue is my favourite colour and Palace have a superb record at Cov so I've always quite liked them. But I daren't say that on the SMB
Yeah they're a decent club tbh don't mind them at all. Glad they've put their problems behind them. But yeah I said something along those lines once and it didn't go down well

Name the 1987 Coventry cup winner who also played minor counties cricket for Shropshire and also the full Minor Counties side 🤔
I've just finished reading Scott Oliver's brilliant 'Sticky Dogs And Stardust' - a book about some of the cricketing superstars who have appeared in local league cricket (most at the beginning of their careers ie Gilchrist, Kallis, Walsh, Warne, some at the end ie Greenidge, Marshall and some at their peak Sobers).

So anyway Oggy gets a brief mention in the chapter dedicated to KP's time at Cannock in 2000 when, whilst playing for Coventry & Nth Warwicks, he catches Mr Modest at first slip off the bowling of TMS's Charles Dagnell who finishes with 8/51.

This chapter is one of the best two in the book imho (the other being the one about Courtney Walsh terrorising the opposition for Tynedale in 1983) as it shows Pietersen to be an absolute....well you can guess!
