Possibly. He dominated England and Australia at home but was unable to successfully tour in either place. iirc he did have a full tour of England during his peak but did poorly, and his only Australian tour was right when he was about to switch from keeping.
Yeah iirc he scored two tons against Surrey (ridiculously strong attack including Bedser, Lock and Laker) during the first series in England. Kinda sad Weekes and him barely got away tours and Weekes was injured in two of three.
