2024–25 NZ domestic season

Foulkes short ball works ! after being hit for 3 sixes in the last couple of overs ....

Otago trip up by swing and miss / swing to cow corner fielder while Gibson at the non-strikers end could probably have won it, if there had been a couple of push and run singles.

They completely ****ed it tbh. Gibson should be fuming. Of all dismissals, holing out to deep midwicket when you need 3 (3) must be one of the worst. A shame for the good guys.
Just looking at the highlights Johnson had previously hit a Foulkes short ball for six but didn't seem to get that one (slightly slower ball?). Maiden list A ton for him as well as Janett. Lockrose could have just tried to get Gibson on strike.

Anyone know why Jamieson and Shipley didn't play?

Jake Gibson is such a powerful hitter. Good to see Johnson record his first ton too, I guess.
I had thought J Gibson was the former Wellington all-rounder who must have shifted south. In fact that's Jamie Gibson who is apparently now a teacher. This guy is from ND and a cousin of Zak Gibson.

I'll take your word for it as that high pitched noise on the stream is driving me nuts.

Good runs for D Phillips today and looks like Jack Boyle might also ton up - he's in some serious form!

Good ton for Foxcroft (100 off 105) anchoring the innings and adding 29 for the last wicket with Clarke who finished on 0 off 9 balls.

Matt Boyle finished on 131. I think he also was top run-scorer in the Super Smash. The kind of season that must put him in contention for higher honours.

Haha not the first one in this thread to get the two Boyles mixed up

You have to feel for Otago, another last over loss. The wickets must be pretty flat now with a lot of batsmen in the runs. Good to see Clarkson back in action and performing for CD after missing a lot of the Super Smash. Nick Kelly with a hundred too. Another guy like Boyle, Bruce and Foxcroft who might be on the fringe of Black Cap selection.
