Smith really does have a strange record in that he has been dismissed 11 times between 130 and 144.

What makes it even more weird is that he has only been dismissed the same 11 times between 125 and 190 (has 5 scores > 190)

Pitch is starting to play some tricks so this should be a big lead, but who knows what Sri Lanka might cook up. Their batters seem to have an annoying tendency of producing an ATG knock out of nowhere and any 4th innings chase over 100 is going to cause some nerves.

You can't just write off this lankan batting outfit. They've been poor so far, but a top 6 with a young opener averaging 38 after 15 tests, 2 guys averaging 40 with 12-15 tons, 2 guys averaging ~44 with 15+ tons, young bloke who just broke bradman's record for fastest to 1000 test runs and a keeper at 7 averaging 37 with 10+ tons is something you can't just write off, especially at home.

Had they offered Aus a 160 run lead this time yesterday, they would have grabbed it gleefully. However losing last seven wickets for 60 odd runs certainly feels underwhelming as they did not completely shut the door on SL. That being said, the pitch is ragging and cannot really fault any dismissal other than the one of Connolly
