India's home dominance was kick started by change in pitches and change in mindset, not necessarily because of Ashwin and Jadeja imho
That is true for the sense that pitches were more spin friendly hence more result oriented. But the fact that we were winning most of these games, imo the biggest reasons were Ash and Jadeja.
Also we were winning most series prior to that from 2004 onwards, just drawing a few in there.

Yeah this, good bowlers win matches.

@Thala_0710 I will take Kohli definitely for 2 reasons:
1) Dhoni was way too defensive at times.
2) Kohli backed pacers more
I agree with both of this. And it's fine if anyone takes Kohli tbh. I liked him as a test captain, much more than his white ball captaincy. I prefer Dhoni for his tactical nous, which I feel gets downplayed in red ball cricket.
I knew Dhoni would lose this poll badly, my only motive was to raise the point that he gets criticised too unfairly quite often.

@capt_Luffy @sayon basak top 10 lists for LOI captaincy?
Comparing captaincy is always a tough thing to do really, especially for those whose career I haven't followed. I agree with Dhoni being the best I have seen as well. Now for a Top 10, I will go:

Arjuna Ranatunga
MS Dhoni
Clive Lloyd
Imran Khan
Martin Crowe
Kapil Dev
Allan Border (don't know how to separate his impact from Tests really)
Sourav Ganguly
Stephen Fleming
Ricky Ponting (2 WCs)
