Does this hypothetical Test allrounder exist?

He never once met the exact criteria (batting >=39, bowling <=31) in his whole career though. It's almost like the criteria was chosen specifically to exclude him by the smallest margin 😆

The closest he came was in 61st test, batting 39.17, bowling 31.03
Not at all my intention, completely forgot about Shakib, although that is tantalizingly close, lol.

31.03 = 31

What kind of psycho would want only exactly 31.00
That's objectively wrong though. 31.03 is not <= 31. The parameters of the equation are very clear and a bowling average of 31.03 wouldn't qualify. Sorry bro but Qlder is right here

And they don't want exactly 31.00. They want 31.00 or less. Literally says it in the OP

Why would you ever use the expression >= for cricket stats if you aren't including the lower threshold of the number? To catch exactly 31.00 for the benefit of Nawaz (3)?

This is sporting averages we're talking about. If someone says include bowlers that average 31, are you going to cut off 31.01 and above?

Yes! when the parameter was specifically less than or equal to 31. Because that's how numbers work lol.

If you want to include 31.03 you need to change the parameter, to for example:
1) <= 32, or
2) <= 31.1, or
3) <= 31.05

etc.

Don't think Shakib was good enough to raise a need to change the parameter imo.

And I guess the thread asks for players with the stats in a full career, Shakib meets neither of the batting or bowling parameter.
