***official*** England whiteball tour of india January 2025***

Looks to me like the shenanigans in the last game to kill off the series has left a can’t be arsed attitude in this.

Let’s see what happens in the ODI’s which are the games that matter given the Champions Trophy coming up.

Not the best start to Bazball 2.0. Can only hope it's a case of lack of interest in 5 meaningless T20s and we see improvements in the more relevant (currently) 50 over format. Wouldn't put money on it though. The ECB see it as an inconvenience and we just seem to be drifting aimlessly somewhere between **** and mediocre across all three forms of the game.

Whatever it takes!!!
Moanhill was right. Harshit Rana was not a like-for-like sub for Dube at all.

Dube is obviously a far better bowler than some (Har)**** T20I debutant.

Ha ha ha ha. Blaming the loss in 4th T20 on the concussion sub is one thing. But it is hilarious to bring that up as an excuse for the loss in the 5th match too.

To me, the loss is due to the team strategy to go in all out with pace. They should have persisted with Saqib Mahmood, get in Sam Curran for Overton and also always play two spinners in India. Rehan could have been useful. And get the batsmen to practice playing spin. Brook and other batsmen unable to play spin is also not helping.

It was clearly an unbalanced t20 team to start off with. Never enough proper batters, with one or two not looking fit for purpose and just daft to continue with four specialist quicks. That first part is pretty much highlighting what other folks here thought from the start. It might well be that there isn't a second serious specialist spin option that isn't a leg break bowler. Obviously the fact that this series essentially served as warm ups for the guys going to the CT doesn't help matters, but even so, that doesn't take away from the fact that those that did play didn't fit together well, to say the least.
