We referenced 82 to 88, he faced Willis during that time. What's your point?

So England and India wasn't great, Sachin didn't face any poor attacks, and on said flat pitches?
No Sachin infact did. And infact has clearly better results over the mentioned period. You were the one to brought how much tougher the 82-88 period was.

again, if era arguments are to be made, Zak Crawley > Sunil Gavaskar.
Crawley winning etc

Even he likes your favourite Richards?
Great team though
He rates him very highly. The decision between him and Gavaskar would be what approach he's looking for.

Hobbs he rates 2nd best all time behind only Bradman.

He rates Sachin and Smith equals at this moment as best since Bradman.

The decision between Gilchrist and Knott would be determined by his choice between Imran and Bumrah. If he goes Bumrah would likely go with Gilly's extra batting.

He's called Marshall very arguably the greatest seamer ever and McGrath the greatest new ball bowler.

Again, just guessing based on what he's said and the team he was building with Bumble.

But he rates Bumrah and Smith really highly.

Think he would replace Marshall or McGrath with Bumrah eventually.
I've explained that in another post.

He speaks highly of Bumrah with the older ball and reverse swing etc. that's why I would imagine that he would have him in addition to the other 2.

He has already said in a direct comparison he would go with McGrath as he's more vital at the top of the innings.

If Bumrah gets 300 wickets that's my attack as well.
