90s had Waqar, Walsh and Pollock as worldclass pacers too that decade. Spin quality today is nowhere near the 90s. Even in terms of pure keeping quality (not keeper bats since that is a 2000s trend) the 90s had better options.

90s had Waqar, Walsh and Pollock as worldclass pacers too that decade. Spin quality today is nowhere near the 90s. Even in terms of pure keeping quality (not keeper bats since that is a 2000s trend) the 90s had better options.

No spinner really looks world class except kuldeep yadav and nathan lyon. Lyon is close to retirement and kuldeep is 30

With the exception of Don Bradman, I do not think any batsman was ahead of his peers more than Jack Hobbs.

That being said I am not comfortable ranking him ahead of modern greats like Gavaskar, Viv, Smith, Lara and Tendulkar.

I disagree with you. Pitches have been too much bowling friendly since 2018, which is why batters aren't scoring as often. Batters like Pujara haven't played t20 cricket at all.

Lebuschagne, khawaja type batters are also failing badly, whose batting is similar to Rahul Dravid i.e to play plenty of balls.
