WWE commentary listing all the places Penta has wrestled...apart from AEW is such excellent shithousery.

You just know that **** like that sends Tony Khan into a meltdown.

He probably takes it more as a sign that hes the serious competition. Did find it funny to hear the words 'Lucha Underground' on WWE

lol yeah he probably does tbh.

On a related note, I wonder what happened to all the Shane McMahon to AEW rumours. They seem to have fizzled out completely, to the point that if it actually happens now I am not sure anyone will care.

MJF's line to Jeff Jarret about him being "the last thing you see before your favourite wrestling promotion dies" had me absolutely howling with laughter.

But seriously wtf is this feud.

From Cageside Seats

The most important match on this show featured Bobby Lashley winning tag team championship gold for the first time in his pro wrestling career when the Hurt Syndicate defeated Private Party. Party’s underwhelming title reign came to a pitiful end as they were dominated and didn’t stand much of a chance against MVP’s group. It’s an unfortunate case where the former champs are now less over than they were when their championship reign began, with the live audience actually booing the babyfaces when they made a save during the match. I think AEW may have even messed up Private Party’s entrance music.

Oooft! I haven't been watching but that's absolutely dire. From the bits I've looked at on Youtube, they are a pretty desperately uncharismatic duo and flat on the mic so I suppose that doesn't help.

The whole thing was "very AEW", inasmuch as it summed up everything that is wrong with the company right now.

The home-grown (supposedly) face champs being booed heavily as they get their asses absolutely whooped by two 50 year old WWE cast-offs (who are meant to be heels) is just utterly ****ed.

The Hurt Business never winning any tag titles in WWE is pretty bewildering. Don't think Private Party have what it takes to be a top-class act honestly. Decent group but were out of their depth.

I know Sledger is mostly criticising AEW there but I think the direction of the tag scene in AEW is finally looking pretty promising again. And their women's division is great at the moment. Toni WAG

Yeah, don't get me wrong, Hurt Business are actually gun. I wish they had been pushed in WWE like this like 20 years ago. But it's just a case of "bad optics" to have (yet more) old WWE blokes come in, treat them like a big deal, and have them make your own dudes look like absolute shite.

Though I agree that Private Party are decidedly mid. Have never seen their appeal myself, so getting the belts of them is probably not a bad call per se.

If it were for a title at one of the big PPVs I think I'd take more umbrage with it but I suspect they're just going to be monsters for a face team to beat at a big one (Omega and Ospreay?)

They're stacked with talent at the moment and many of them are over but we're back to one womens match per dynamite. The very significant Toni/Mariah storyline twist where Rookie Toni turns back into Timeless Toni again being on Collision did it no justice at all either. Brilliant, brilliant segment. Toni is so fkn good.

I was also hoping they'd have Jamie Hayter ride the wave of excitement she generated when she came back and then go immediately into a major program but that's not how it went.

They should just cut out all the Death Rider stuff (which really is absolutely dire imo) and give the time to the women's division tbh.

lol, just randomly decided to watch RAW and Logan Paul gets solid heat.
He absolutely "gets it" (i.e., pro wrestling). And like Arito says, for someone who is (or at least was, a short while ago) a complete n00b, his ring work is absolutely top tier.

The heat he got the other day made me realise how much HHH has dropped the ball with the New Day though. Their heel turn got them so much legit furious heat, but they've completely stacked it.
