I watched a few overs of this by accident and saw King bowl, she has remarkable control and good turn. The batters seemed to have no idea how to play her (or spin in general tbf)

England bowled pretty well but without much luck, but I suspect Australia have weathered the tough period and will push on to 400 odd tomorrow.

Kind of **** way for Healy to get out when that might be her last opportunity to bat in a test. Seems likely her and Starc will finish up with the same high score of 99 though, so that's cute.

Going to the MCG tomorrow but will be a flat atmosphere, the gap between the two sides is huge.

England look miserable, Australia just looked bored with how easy it is.

I’ll never attend a men’s ashes match due to my long held belief it brings out the worst in everyone, to be honest some of the stuff going on around this series is the same.

She is absolutely voracious. Seriously impressive hunger for runs but I guess that given how few Tests they play, she has to make them count

Enjoy your day, I guess the only question is whether on what is now clearly a decent surface to bat on, England can find the gumption to put together a solid response. Doesn't look likely.

This has been horrific, from the moment they failed to win that 2nd ODI you knew the whitewash was on the cards.

There is a gulf in talent but it's more than that - fielding, fitness, attitude, determination - the Aussies never lack these but the English ladies have fallen well short. I can understand that the Aussies will be better with bat and ball but at the very least, the English should match their fitness levels, should ensure their fielding is as good as possible and should have the same standards.

Women's cricket is not viable IMHO in terms of viewing quality. The gap between Australia and the no2 side here is like they are playing a club team. Compare to the men's game currently, the top 4-5 teams are generally giving close matches, you won't find any club standard teams in the top 4!!

It'll take a long time for the other countries to invest seriously in their women's teams it seems.

Something clearly has gone badly wrong in English women’s cricket as it wasn’t so long ago these two sides were having really close competitive contests.

I think it is viable but there’s always been an issue with lack of depth of quality, both internationally and domestically, that seems to have got worse in recent times. Though of course NZ did beat Australia not that long ago.

There are some games in NZ women’s domestics when the white ferns players like Sophie Devine and Susie Bates are playing against 15 year olds bowling loopy leg breaks and it’s not much of a contest either.

Noted. That looks like a rare upset in the scheme of things. They are looking world class right now the Aussies.

Gonna be an innings defeat here surely.

I think one thing that maybe needs looking at is the scheduling. England have played the T20 World Cup followed by a Tour to SA and I think a few played in the WBBL too. I'm not sure why you'd have two significant Tours either side of Christmas? They effectively won the SA Series 14-2, probably left their best cricket there.

It looks to me like they've just given up here.

I understand there's been a load more dropped catches today too, though not seen anything.
