I'm almost certain it's about height. The big thing that it eliminated was the Dickie Bird style "not out" where you could plonk your front foot down the line of the ball and not be given to a ball that pitches middle and hits in line with middle because it "might have been going over".Don't remember reading anything about that. I thought the main thing with DRS advantaging spin vs pace was better judgement of line, which would surprise no-one who's seen umpiring from the 70s.
Bradman would still have a (way) higher conversion rate tbf.The main difference between Smith and Bradman
Regardless, it's not a 'Dickie Bird style' one where umpires wouldn't give anyone out when forward, even if they were hit on the half volley.I'm almost certain it's about height. In any case that has nothing to do with this instance because the ball actually went over the stumps despite only making slight contact with the pads, and not in a manner that would suggest a strong upwards deflection.
You want to smooch temba every time you see him. Not sure I would say the same about InglisWho has a fatter ass? Inglis or Bavuma?
DudApparently the 15th time between 130 and 144
He's not captain. De Silva can take him off any time he wants.Prabath really really needs to give someone else a go, this is ridiculous
