Sober's overall record is not as impressive as Viv's. He averaged 43 vs Australia from 19 Tests. Averaged 80-90 vs India and Pakistan, who were minnows for the majority of his career. I find Sobers overrated, partly because of his raw numbers. Viv was playing against a whole another level of opposition.

Sehwag's whole career was in a highway era. He is the greatest basher on highways ever (Brook challenging that though).
Tbf Sehwag was a genuinely Brilliant player of spin, arguably the best Ever. The dude like legit believed off spinners were there to take advantage of. But yeah, if it swings or seams much, he is mostly a night watchman; a pretty hefty drawback for an opener really.

Against spin, he was fantastic. Top 3 of all time for me yeah, but Chanders was a very good batsman too and for me Chanders>Sehwag

Brook already has an ATG innings on a tough NZ pitch tbf. Can’t see Sehwag replicating that tbh.
Sehwag has a much better ATG innings in a raging Sri Lankan turner against Peak Murali. Brook is good, but also really lucky to get some Real roads (and missing India).

Brook will surpass Sehwag, believe it, plus can't complain about roads when comparing with Sehwag etc

Brook does have a hundred on a turning pitch on his first tour to Pak iirc (obviously not as good as Sehwag’s though, just showing that he can play spin)

My point though was that Brook can bat in pace friendly conditions unlike Sehwag
