Do we really believe it’s going to be total shutdown at the end of March? It would be a genuine shame because there are some absolute top human beings on there. I can honestly say I’ve had hours and hours of fantastic cricket discussion and debate on there.
I think it’s absolutely hilarious if that’s me done for good though, there have been many times in the past where I’ve genuinely crossed the line with regards to chewing on with people and using language I shouldn’t which resulted in getting banned for good reason. BUT, this latest one was a complete joke. I simply asked a question as to the legitimacy of the Aggregator and defended myself to Ian J when he tried his third pile-on of the week and before he could reply I was gone (and so was the post). Three months for a question
No abuse, no nastiness.
It’s such a shame the mods are so petrified of transparency and any form of scrutiny.
The mad thing is, if they’re so desperate for hits/clicks that they need to create a being to turbopost and bump old threads - I’m fairly certain the loyal band of genuine cricket followers amongst us would be more than happy to help increase the content. The difference being, the content we would create would actually be of interest and would gain genuine traffic rather than forced.
They’ve spoiled themselves. Had their cake and smeared it all over their own faces, because I know several decent long serving posters who have either left completely or who’ve withdrawn their contributions from the forum as a direct consequence of the beast they created. They wanted more traffic and instead they’ve driven people away.
It’s a crying shame.
