Gavaskar’s first series in WI
Eh, Nah, not even better than Hutton's final WI tour

Gavaskar’s series against Holding & Roberts
pitches were far flatter.

Gavaskar’s series against Imran Khan
Pitches were uber flat, bowling was far inferior as Imran wasn't half the bowler he'd become later on.

Gavaskar’s series against peak Botham & Willis
definitely his best away trip, but eh still nah, both the attack was inferior and the pitches were netural.

the RPW of Hutton's trip to Australia was 23.6, extremely low, lower than the RPW of some absurdly seamer friendly serieses, almost on par with the RPW of 2018 South Africa tour from India. he was clear of number 2 by almost 200 runs, and averaged nearly 90, against Lindwall/Johnston/Miller and Johnson (57 @ 25 in Australia), iirc some of the wickets were so bad that Bedser and other tailenders had to be sent before Hutton and Compton, I rate the 1050-51 Ashes very highly personally, there are only few serieses I would've ahead of it.

Did excellent in Imran's 40 wicket bottle cap series as well.

Yeah I actually rate that series higher than the 78 series, Viv and Sunil were pretty much the first ones to find a counter to Reverse Swing, meanwhile us and the Australians were terrified of reverse swing.

Amarnath underrated away. He did even better that series and his 83 WI is top 5 Ever for me.
