Thought I might post this after seeing AndrewB’s recent post about Gregory.

Botham 1981 6 match series 3-1

12 innings 399 @ 36.27 SR 93.22 2 tons 1 fifty
12 innings 34 @ 20.58 SR 48.0 3 5’fers 1 10’fer
12 catches

Gregory 1920/21 5 match series 5-0

8 innings 442 @ 73.66 SR 66.06 1 ton 4 fifties
10 innings 23 @ 24.17 SR 54.13 1 5’fer
15 catches

Underrated series imo, you hardly ever see it mentioned.

Botham for single handedly winning two games (okay Willis might have helped, but both innings were bonkers).

Also honourable mention (someone who actually missed out on the allrounder poll): Giffen 1894

Nice to see some Gregory recognition. One of the best cricketers in the period between the world wars and ahead of his time.

Yeah I don’t expect him to win the poll ofc. Just thought this series needs to be recognised tbh. Hitting 80+ rpm, 4+wpm and 3 cpm over a 5 test series is pretty crazy.
