Prodigy though he may have been, let's say he averages zero from 2-8 and then I'll be generous and say that if he was facing some of those England-style medium pacer led attacks and based on him being a prodigy, he would average 15 at age 12, 10 at age 11, 8 at age 10 and 5 at age 9. Assume 10 tests per annum would give him 380 runs in the 1990s. Therefore, an average of 3.8.

That average isn't actually reflective of his worth though. Think about the number of above-head-height wides a two-year-old Kohli would accumulate for his team.

On the other hand, running between the wickets could be a problem. Impeding the scores of his fellow batsmen.

EDIT: In fact, Timed Outs could be a serious problem for young Virat in 1990.
