No no, I was totally serious. A statistician did a statistical analysis and came to the conclusion it will take 200K years for another statistical anomaly like Don to occur.
Well both his maths and assumptions are wrong then lol. Cricket was weaker back then, so one would expect there to be much higher discrepancy in averages. It was also a flat era. The statistician was probably looking to find the first time a batter would average 100, when really only ~85 in today's game is needed to surpass Bradman imo.

For me
Viv vs warne- viv retired in 1991 while warne debuted few months later in 92 if warne got picked aussie sqaud that toured wi in 91 maybe we could have seen legendary dual for ages between maste blaster vs king of spin
Lara vs ashwin- lara retired in 2007 while ashwin debuted in 11. It would have been great tussle to see master batter of spin take on great exponet of off spin esp to left handers in india and wi
Peak sachin vs peak imran- through sachin debuted vs imran s pakistan it would have been great battle between two atgs
Ponting vs bumrah- one of greatest players of fast bowling vs one of most skillful bowlers ever
Gavaskar vs waqar- gavaskar retired in 87 and waqar debuted in 89. Great matchup between one of the greatest openers of all time vs one best new ball bowler who bowled banana swing

S.F Barnes against Steve Smith or any of the other 3 of the Fab 4.

Also my guy O’Reilly to bowl against that Indian batting lineup of Sehwag, Dravid, Sachin, Laxman etc. that slaughtered Warne and Murali. Just for O’Reilly> Warne, Murali etc. to be consensus.
Well, there is some point he may do better. Kumble in domestic matches troubled almost all Indian tests bats. I am have heard Chandra did it too. I have no doubt that O'Riely would trouble them on a usual Indian pitch with variable bounce.

However, put them on a pitch with true bounce, all of them will be played like a medium pacers by them.

Sydney Barnes vs any modern batsman.
On modern wickets or in the 1900s with pencil bats, no padding and moustaches so large they restrict your range of vision?

A modern batter like Smith, Root or Kohli with modern gear facing Larwood using leg theory

KP vs Anderson, Broad and Swann. Now that would be a grudge match!
