Ball tampering is based. It's very important to not forget the prolific ball tampering.

Winning mindset. Only losers complain.Ball tampering is based.
Would mention peer rating for Wasim.Arguments against Akram
A proven performer but not a brilliant record like Ambrose or Lillee or Donald
Arguments against Imran
A proven performer but not a brilliant record like Ambrose or Lillee or Donald
Arguments against Lillee
Picked 6 wickets in 5 Tests outside Aus, Eng and NZ
Arguments against Ambrose
Picked 36 wickets in 12 Tests outside Aus, Eng and WI
Argument against Donald
A near perfect but a mediocre record against Aus
The way you are with Ambrose and Kallis to support your guy?I would if he wasn't a hyperpartisan hack.
He could not been as effective as he was in England or Australia but it comes under what if, may be he could have done well too. But where he was clearly better than Imran is England and Australia - 2 Important places to judge a bowler apart from India. Ambrose ODI performance in India was also fairly good so there is a high probability that he might have done well in India. But purely as a Bowler he is definitely better than Imran. At the same time we cannot pull down Imran saying he did ball tampering and biased umpires, Imran was no Hadlee or Marshall but he had a better Cricketing Brain to influence the outcome of the match with other contributions to the Team.We have no idea how Ambrose would have done in the SC. He likely would have struggled in India and SL particularly post 94.
That's not the argument. It's that 90 percent of his wickets are in three favorable countries to his bowling, and outside that m, it's 36 wickets in 12 tests.Youur sole argument is that Ambrose didn't play in India, sucks how his surgery messed up you analysis by checklist.
I do remember him saying this. I also remember his arguments months ago that SC bowlers be given some type of bonus for performing in Asian flat conditions not conducive to pace. I was curious to know if that applied to the batsmen as well but I don't recall if he ever came back to me.The way you are with Ambrose and Kallis to support your guy?
The one who you blatantly ignore the huge gap between home and away performances and the umpires and tampering that made it possible?
Like now last week India wasn't flat in the 90's because it went against what you were trying to prove, but now it's impossible that Ambrose could have thrived because it was so very flat?
Or that fact that almost half of Ambrose's home pitches were also flat and you accuse the WI to be the playground of ftb Lara, but this week it's helpful to Ambrose?
Or how you ignore how again at least two Australian pitches were also flat, but he still performed there as well.
Where all of these places were so helpful, but when Imran played there he still couldn't match Curtly's numbers?
Youur sole argument is that Ambrose didn't play in India, sucks how his surgery messed up you analysis by checklist. But how did Imran do, average of 28 and a s/r of 60.
Anyways, who's doing Donald and Imran?
Then how come Imran sucked in those favorable conditions relatively speaking of course. That's not the argument. It's that 90 percent of his wickets are in three favorable countries to his bowling, and outside that m, it's 36 wickets in 12 tests.
iirc 100% of Hobbs’ runs are in 3 countries and he holds up well in comparison to say, Tendulkar. That's not the argument. It's that 90 percent of his wickets are in three favorable countries to his bowling, and outside that m, it's 36 wickets in 12 tests.
Yeah, but 3 countries was about what was reasonably available as competition for Hobbs in his era unlike Ambrose.iirc 100% of Hobbs’ runs are in 3 countries and he holds up well in comparison to say, Tendulkar.
Hobbs isn't a modern player.iirc 100% of Hobbs’ runs are in 3 countries and he holds up well in comparison to say, Tendulkar.
Yeah wonder if he'll answer that.I do remember him saying this. I also remember his arguments months ago that SC bowlers be given some type of bonus for performing in Asian flat conditions not conducive to pace. I was curious to know if that applied to the batsmen as well but I don't recall if he ever came back to me.
I think we did Imran vs Donald and Imran won by two votes or so if I recall:http://www.cricketweb.net/forum/threads/imran-khan-vs-allan-donald.91530/
@subshakerzThen how come Imran sucked in those favorable conditions relatively speaking of course.
Most people on this forum pretty frequently consider runs made by asian batsmen in the SC as close to worthless and consider runs abroad as the real litmus test. So this isn't some new thing you're suggesting.I do remember him saying this. I also remember his arguments months ago that SC bowlers be given some type of bonus for performing in Asian flat conditions not conducive to pace. I was curious to know if that applied to the batsmen as well but I don't recall if he ever came back to me.
