I notice the Black Clash is on the TAB - I had assumed it was rigged (not making a joke at Vincent's expense, just from watching replays of the previous ones)?

Preach. Love the Louicious, hope he smokes itLou Vincent is playing in the Black Clash tonight. Guy will be super emotional, I hope he gets a good cheer.
Yeah this needs an allrounder, especially at home.21st century test XI? Saw a Facebook post by a random cricket page which had gold comments like "Richardson? He bats so slowly, where's Guptill??"
Anyways, it did actually get me thinking things like:
Does McCullum deserve a spot? Overall your say yes and batting 5 at that, but then does that mean he's ahead of Fleming? Or should he open instead of Latham? Do you include Oram as an all-rounder - or Cairns even - or make room for McCullum by having 4 bowlers. Or do you "cheat" and have him as WK?
My gut says:
Richardson
Latham
Williamson
Taylor
Fleming*
McCullum
Watling+
Vettori
Wagner
Boult
Southee
But it does feel bowler light. You could make a case for Oram or de Grandhomme over McCullum in the counter attacking, aggressive lower order role + seam bowling options. Or leave Fleming out for McCullum and include an all rounder instead. Or even a 4th seamer, like Bond, Henry or Jamieson with Vettori at 7 as the AR.
Incredible we won that match given Richardson's 26 off 71 (though tbf Baz scored slower).
Interesting sides! Not much I disagree with. Ajaz over Santner in the 2nd xi for mine. I know Santner really has turned a corner in the last 12 months but still. In fact, I'd potentially have Patel over him in the 3rd XI, though might include Santner as an bowling AR instead of Franklin with the presence of Oram, and considering Franklins overall career, not just his beginning. O'Brien over Tuffey too.1st XI
