I know which one I like more, but yeah it's still a bit early in Saud Shakeel's career to be making an assessment like this.

Shakeel is only a year older than Babar Azam yet hes played 40 less tests ..
How did Pakistan allow that to happen ..
It's a difficult one but Babar Azam seems to be on a decline at 30 and has a pretty poor conversion record for a top 4 batter , his away record in SENA countries is boosted by not outs and pretty little fifties..
I rather take the reliable flat and spin track expert in Shakeel than Babar , unless he can get that test average back past 45.

I think Shakeel is the best Pakistani batter of spin bowling I've seen since Younis Khan , if he can't conquer pace friendly countries but continues his excellence against spin I think that will be enough to beat Babar Azam who only has 9 test hundreds in his career to date.

It's because Shakeel wasn't one of the bros that Babar vibes with.
Honestly, it's why this sort of rationale of team chemistry used as an excuse in lieu of a lack of professionalism really bothers me. It leaves wins on the board for your country, whichever countries players end up indulging in it.
