Some observations

1. People have been more careful in doling out the money this time. H&H franchise were so lavish in the previous auction but look to focus on value for money bids after parting terms this time
2. Adil Rashid was the only player to get bids from everyone which is a slight surprise. Buttler becomes the costliest player so far with a bid of $201k while Root had the highest total bid at $969k
3. Ataraxia clinches Mahmood by $1 while Carse was also a close win.
4. KV was close to winning at least 3 players in his initial bid but then revised his bids to more conservative numbers and thereby losing out all 3 players

Now the bidding has closed - who do we think England's first choice attack will be. Would have bidded for more pacers if I was sure but thought everyone but Archer was a risk. England do seem to like Atkinson so a bit of a punt there but the rest I am unsure of.

Yes, 6 pacers in the squad which is a bit of a overkill I think in Pakistan, especially now that they are favoring to focus spin (albeit that's in tests). Archer, Wood and Atkinson along with Rashid plus Root/Bethell/Livingstone is what they will go with imo.

Also, one more information. In case you win more players than the number of open spots in your team, you will be asked to release the extra players from the squad within 24 hours and those players will be added to the list for the 9th round. Also, in case any current squad players get replaced by the countries before the 9th round, you can release that player and get back that money. Those replacement players will also be added for the 9th round bid.
