Worst batsman with a 50 average

It's not Shiv and I'm probably the biggest anti Chanderpaul person there is. But outside the WI, he does average a respectable/decent 45. His sucked in Aus, and Pakistan but did amazing in England even when they had a class attack. Worse player with 50+ imo is probably Compton. I have very little respect for any batsman who averages below 45 outside their own country (except openers).
Compton's easily better than Chanderpaul

why not? Doesn’t he have huge disparity between home and away averages? Also his away record vs good sides is not great.
So the 2nd best batsman of the last 11 years in what has been a tough batting era rates behind players who were perhaps the 9th or 10th best in the 2000s in a much easier era .. ???

Why do you say that?
Compton lost his best years to the War and imo, was a much stronger player of pace and swing. His averages in Australia and South Africa are bit misleading due to one tour in one with a series injury (averaged sub 10) and one in another when he was 40 (his last series). Younis is ATG in Asia, but his SENA record is somewhat little flattering, as he often failed in tougher conditions and scored in the relative easier ones (except for his Hobart ton). Now, this may sound like I rate Compton much ahead but I don't, I rate them next to eachother.

I'll also mention, even in his final away Ashes in 54-55, he cut his hand bone deep on a billboard while fielding in an accident and was injured to the point he had to bat after Bedser, Tyson and Statham, and missed the second test, obviously he failed in this test too because he was downright not in the condition to bat due to his wounds.

if Root and AB played together, AB would probably hide behind Root at 6, and not just Border but both ABs, both the definition of beta males.
