Only the second man after Mahela to be dismissed on this score.Huh. Didn’t realise Smith was on 9999 @SillyCowCorner1
39.50Huh I never knew that Michael Clarke averaged 3,950 away. Must've been incredibly **** at home to be rated as he is.

No. Voges is 79th. My table covers top 50.Is Voges on the sheet?
He was the ultimate team player and vice captainHow did Geoff Marsh play that many tests averaging 33? See also: Mitchell and Shaun.
Selectors are idiotsHe was the ultimate team player and vice captain
To be fair he averaged 3,297 away from home.Selectors are idiots
Marsh was very dour as a Test batsman, his strike rate was 35.13 yet in ODI cricket his strike rate was 55.93 and his ODI average was 39.97.Selectors are idiots
I don’t think you appreciate how bad Aus was in the mid-80s. Then just when they started to get good, his already pretty ordinary record fell away pretty badly. How did Geoff Marsh play that many tests averaging 33? See also: Mitchell and Shaun.
He was probably an average player in an average team in what was an average era for Australian cricket.I don’t think you appreciate how bad Aus was in the mid-80s. Then just when they started to get good, his already pretty ordinary record fell away pretty badly.
I remember when he got dropped for the WACA test of the 91/92 series vs India. Border cracked the shits massively and stayed behind to give a spray to the selectors in person for dropping him. Can’t have been great for his replacement, Wayne Phillips (the Victorian one, so kind of doesn’t matter, but still).
he was the longest serving VC under Border. Every vice captain he had got dropped at some point.
Maybe the vice captains weren’t the problemI don’t think you appreciate how bad Aus was in the mid-80s. Then just when they started to get good, his already pretty ordinary record fell away pretty badly.
