What the fk are you talking about?
That Ambrose got the most zip out of the surface in history. He hit the deck so hard that the ball rushed off the pitch, with extra bounce, zip and nip, causing fear to batsmen.
Only Cummins and McGrath can match Ambrose for this

What is this fascination with hitting the deck lol. All I would expect from bowlers is to pick the wickets.
Hitting the deck is absolutely incredible to watch. When the likes of Cummins bowl, you almost see that they are disgusted or revolted by the idea of bowling full and looking for swing. And I share that revulsion and detest swing!

McG has bowled literal reverse swing before, you ain't fooling no one
Never. GD McGrath never swung the ball. He hit the deck so hard that 130kph became 150kph off the deck, generating extra bounce and hitting the shoulder of the bat. GD McGrath regarded swing bowling as a moral defeat.

This is a bowling masterclass from McGrath, where he starts teaching swing bowling at 1:57, and also goes on to teach reverse swing.
