He'll rate them highly by 2040He's got a thing against current players, not Australian players
#MCGSoBigThe thing is, there's just no one that's really been happy about the SCG for the last ~20 years. There's always something, the pitch, the outfield, the shield team never being able to play there. And we're told they can't do drop ins because they're too big for the SCG
You forgot to mention the weather lol...plenty hate the weather too.The thing is, there's just no one that's really been happy about the SCG for the last ~20 years. I think the nature of recent (last 20 years) Test matches there suit the fact that it's the last Test of the series. Whether the pitches are roads or minefields, they make for celebratory cricket- whether it be massive double tons, or 3 day thrillersThe thing is, there's just no one that's really been happy about the SCG for the last ~20 years. Given that its against a wide variety of opponents I'd agree he should've cashed in against some of the weaker opponents a little more than his overall ave suggests hes done.Starc not a great in Tests. He's good but a fast bowler around 28 average isn't anything great.
so there's this thing called strike rateStarc not a great in Tests. He's good but a fast bowler around 28 average isn't anything great.
Exactly. Good....but not great.Starc not a great in Tests. He's good but a fast bowler around 28 average isn't anything great.
I’m not sure great is the right descriptor either, but he certainly doesn’t need to be mentioned in a derogatory sense after his career.so there's this thing called strike rate
In Test matchesBevan was better at his peak.
There's this thing called economy and Starc's economy is 3.41 runs per over. Too expensive.so there's this thing called strike rate
It was a lottery. Very poor pitchWhat did he say?
I mean the deck wasn't a minefield..it had a lot of life in it. Besides....do we really want decks prepared as roads for Test cricket? How boring. Good Test of batsman's technique and temperament.
It's like batting in India - big turning decks. Again a good Test for the batsman. That's what world Test cricket should be about.
Yeah when Bevan was taking it seriously he was better but that was a pretty brief period. In Test matches
Bevan: 29 wkts @ 24.24
Katich: 21 wkts @ 30.23
First-Class (all red ball cricket including Test matches)
Bevan: 119 wkts @ 44.89
Katich: 107 wkts @ 35.30
So was Chuck Fleetwood-SmithBevan was better at his peak.

Haha I'm surprised it's not more than that tbh.89 infractions for you, lol
I think Katich was under bowled at times. He was a good part-time bowler.Yeah when Bevan was taking it seriously he was better but that was a pretty brief period.
