Honestly I almost tend to think he's being actively encouraged to go all out on the attack like that. Could be wrong, but a few comments I have seen seem to suggest that
And i don't think it's a good approach from the team management either. I want someone who will get 150+ scores, not someone who'll always be scoring 30 (25). But Konstas is going down the latter road.

It's been 2 games. I doubt this is going to be his SOP going forward. This innings in particular I'm assuming was pitch and match situation-dependant

He's not a blaster is he in the shield?

Unless he is an arsehole in real life (doubt it seems a good kid) I doubt he'd be the type to go against instructions from management, so even if they asked him to bat like Pujara he would have tried .

I think in this series the approach was not unreasonable as a means to ending the stranglehold over our top three. Going forward it's obviously going to be a waste of a batting spot in better conditions if Konstas keeps playing in such a low percentage manner.

I think he's been doing what the team needs, on pitches that weren't easy. I agree, give him more time

The issue is that Australia seem to think (admittedly with some justification) that they need a hitter up top, and the other options post-Khawaja are shotless wonders. Unless Dixon comes on Konstas is pretty much going to be the designated attacker.
