Handscomb always a good chance for a subcontinent tour.

If Handscomb goes to Sri Lanka then I guess McSweeney won't (unless they open with Head as rumoured and drop Konstas).

I'd actually like to see Konstas in the CA XI games to see if he can bat like before whatever this India stuff is (even his coach and Shane Watson as his mentor says this test stuff is totally out of character)

I don't know why I'm so excited to see the CA XI vs Lions as I know it's going to be a bunch of non-BBL scrubs, but how is the CA XI squad not named yet? Game is only 5 days away and Lions have been training in Brisbane since Saturday 4th

I still hope they pick some fringe test players as Lions have decent attack with test bowlers Bashir, Hartley and Tounge as well as Sam Cook who has over 300 FC wkts at an average <20

Better than in years past tbf. Bit of a mystery how a player of Handscomb's quality, and Clayton with the form he's been in, have managed to get overlooked by the BBL

Henry Hunt was the only opener picked in the CA XI so Goodwin or Ward would have to move up from their normal #3 to open (just like they did with McSweeney)
