Happy to say that this is roughly right if we're talking about pace bowlers only and restrict it to bowlers I've seen.
yep if u take into account stats, thats about right post >1990s seen bowlers.

Mcgrath has the most amount of wickets 289 @ 22 ave in australia. thats incredible.

Taufel said using sniko was a mistake. He said 3rd umpires work on a hierarchy of evidence so if they think there was deviation, that’s it give them out. Snicko would be used if they couldn’t see anything with the eye and go to the next layer of review.

So it sounds like ‘I’ll just check’ is not how they are meant to use the system.

Whatever it takes!!!
I mean at this point, I wont even mind Bumrah and Siraj resting for the last test, we are hardly going to win it.

Make Rahul captain. What do we have to lose anyways?

This is precisely why you have fixed, written protocols that you always follow, so you take that out of it as much as possible. I'd be curious to see what the exact wording of the protocols are.
This is precisely the worst thing about modernity. It's more important to have umpires who intuitively understand the game and how it works than perfect protocol. This was a triumph of intuitive umpiring over protocol.

At the moment imo Reddy Bowling is under rated and batting is over rated ( strictly going by his domestic career)
His bowling isn't really underrated though, if anything it's being overrated by people here. If his bowling really was decent he would've been trusted to bowl more, but he wasn't. Hence the part-timer comment.

Good post. .if u adjust to the batting lineups. Ambrose bowled to the top tier aus batting lineup of the 90s. He was incredible.

Mcgrath never bowled to his own batting lineup, usually touring weak batting lineups like West Indies, SL, India, ENG and Pakistan which were really weak in the 90s and 2000s.
And when McGrath didn't play India they drew the series against Australia. WI had two ATG batsmen during this era. India had their best batting line-up ever during this era. England were weak, yes, but South Africa were very strong. Also, the vast majority of McGrath's wickets were top order wickets.

Your comment was uninformed and you need to go back and do 33 hail Mary's for insulting St McGrath with your ignorance of his greatness.

I mean it's only looking like this because of Bumrah and injuries tbh. Still doesn't make them easy to beat.
That's not true at all lol. They were showing ot last summer too against Pakistan and West Indies. The Ashes too. I know you want to give credit to Bumrah for everything but nah

"Umpires who intuitively understand the game" is how we got decades of hacks who didn't bother trying to apply the LBW law as written being celebrated as the height of umpiring.

i didnt mention SAFF in my post lol...the rest pretty weak . Some of the india batting lineup pre Sehwag was weak wasnt it? Laxman etc, were only great in India.

Rahul would be such a bad and defensive captain.
Bumrah is the best we have...
