Lol Manjrekar and Mark Nicholas getting into a shitfight now. Manju making a habit of this nowadays. He's such a dick these days but love that he rants about no one in the broadcast calling Rohit and Kohli out for being shite.

There are no analysts in India anymore. Just PR agents and ass kissers, afraid of getting banned by BCCI if they speak against their superstars.

Indian cricket won't progress to the levels it desires to when you have an organization thats running a worse dictatorship than the Pakistani army. No exaggeration there.

All these so called experts are fooling gullible fans in the name of 'level-headed' opinions.
holds good for current political and cinema landscape too. Objectivity is in rare supply

The biggest issue with the team this series is the lack of pace bowling support alongside Bumrah. We can't keep going into Tests where you don't have the same quality of pacers to match the opposition with less of them. At the very least the 4th pacer could've saved Bumrah and Siraj from being overbowled given Reddy is basically a part-timer at the moment and the spinners in this series haven't been as impactful in the early parts of the Tests.

Test cricket eh? Bloody hell.

In future years people will look at the scorecard and see a routine win for the better team, with Australia always ahead and winning by a big margin. But this doesn't capture the ebbs and flows and drama of the game, and how Australia really had to dig deep at times for the win.

I don't see a great Aussie team here but I do see one with several excellent individuals and a collective that rallied round to hide their weaknesses. Whether out of form, past their best, newbie or carrying injury almost everyone in their team made important contributions at some point.

India were unable to do the same, their weaknesses looking more like fissures. I thought Indian supporters were being too pessimistic a few weeks ago but I better understand their concerns now. The contribution of the older players today when serious application was needed should maybe be symbolic and a clarion call for a re-boot of the team, but it doesn't sound like any Indians trust their selectors to do much of substance. They seem to be completely reliant on individual brilliance to turn things round in Sydney, always possible but really hard to see right now.

Nah come on at some point the top five has to pull their finger out and stop being 3/30, 4/50, 5/150 in every single innings.

why was Jaiswal given out when the snicko showed no evidence of an edge just because some 3rd umpire trusted his eyes over the tech but then again the 3rd umpire in the 1st test gave rahul out when it was clearly visible that there was no edge and hit his pad with the bat but here the umpire trusted the snicko the not his eyes
I think this would be a good line of argument if the deflection was pretty subtle and minor but it was massive. You don't really need anything beyond the first replay to tell. Honestly it took me by surprise just how big it was based on the discussion about it on radio.

Like I can understand the process complaint (and very much understand it in the Perth Rahul dismissal) but ultimately it's telling that no one actually is claiming he didn't hit it. He very obviously hit it.

This one hurts, largely because of the continued effort and perseverance of Bumrah was for nought. Test cricket is rarely won by teams that rely on individual brilliance while the rest languish. Australia was easily the better team this game, the past two games and deserve the series win. India’s selection and tactics have been extremely confused and muddled. They need a complete reset and rebuild to be a better team come the tour to England in a few months.

I don't see a great Aussie team
Come on now. This is the best Australian side at the end of their tenure after McGrath/Warne and the Invincibles. Like I get underrating the team you support but you'd have to be blind to not recognize this much. They'd beat every other Aussie side into the dust.

This is a pretty huge caveat though.

That's the issue that makes the bowling look even worse. The first thing to fix is the bowling, but that doesn't mean you can't fix both at the same time (by dropping the non-performers and picking the extra fast bowler in this case).

Yeah but still, you can't tell me this isn't a great side regardless. The only reason they don't have enough results with them is that two of their main rivals are a lot better now in their homes.
