Kohli staging a palace coup. Rohit will be told that VK is taking over: he will be allowed to save face by being the ‘official captain’ but will have no actual power.

Tbh the commentary actually seems a lot more bearable when it's 2/3 ladies + Mr Cricket having a chat and not the endless waffling old blokes club.. Still wish they would go back to 2 commentators at a time though, so that there isn't a constant triangle of tripe.

See if it’s still noisy at about 4pm if Aus is still batting and the lead is pushing 300 with Bumrah into his fourth spell.
I think that wouldn’t be too bad of an outcome for India tbh. That means Australia will likely bat all of today, leaving India 3 sessions tomorrow to draw the match. Bad situation for winning the match though.

The Wheel is Forever
I hate when commentators try to psychoanalyze players. Most of them have the emotional intelligence of a plant.

I want Ponting to talk about batting technique. I wanted Warne to talk about spin bowling or tactics. Benaud could talk about anything. if people really used their expertise as a baseline for their commentary, it would be so so much better.

A talented teenage batsman has holes in his game? I'm shocked I say, shocked. Well not that shocked.

Declaration equation looks pretty simple. Australia bats until all out or making 295 for a 400 run lead.

To make 295 off 78 overs would be perfect, leaving 8 overs at India tonight plus a relatively still new ball tomorrow
