Standardisation is for nerds like me to try and do afterwards. Variety is the spice of the life when actually watching the game.
They started having 3 balls in what, 91 I think SG joined tests? I’d be curious to see an analysis of bowlers (and maybe even batsmen) by ball type.

The Kooka isn't really the same in every country that uses us, the West Indian Duke is also different, and that's before even accounting for the pink ball. It's definitely more than three.

It's like having more than one pitch clay type IMO. It's good.

Meh I think we already have enough variance with pitches and bats amongst other things.

Plus it would be one less excuse for Murali in India :ph34r:
