Unlike the last Test, this was basically untested. He did get a bit of luck against Deep but otherwise has barely played a false stroke. What was most impressive was 1. how he stabilised the innings after losing a bunch of quick wickets and 2. how unflustered he looked.

The fact that the temperature is 20 rather than 40 makes a large difference IMO, this Indian attack looks like it's feeling yesterday's effects today
