Batting is looking a lot harder since the Big Bash whiz kid Konstas got out.
It’s because Marnus is a one tempo pony. It’s why he will never be a great number three. Someone like Ponting comes in after that start they look to keep it going, as they should. Instead he’s ground india back into the game. Woeful.

Exactly.

It’s interesting how Indian captains often start their careers very aggressive and then become quite defensive and reactionary by the end. Surely due to the pressure and the criticism they get when it doesn’t come off. But still, it’s a pattern.

Lolz. The important moment was this morning when they didn’t adapt to Konstas. Gate. Horse. Bolted.
You sir are the anti Gambhir. Do we even have a name for that? Maybe the Duckett?

Edit: unless you're secretly supporting India of course... 🤔

Yep, they were only 1 wicket down, had runs on the board and some of this bowling was very mundane, no need for the go slow approach whatsoever.
This grinding approach means that by the time they do play a stupid shot and get out they've not done that much damage, all while letting the bowlers settle into a rhythm.

Didn't realise how dominant Hayden was in boxing day tests. 6 tons is something considering he missed plenty of em between debut and retirement

Wait, so you're saying (in the other post) the horse bolted this morning... so is he pushing the horse back in?
