Bumrah back for a second spell in the 1st session after a 6 over first in his 4th straight test is asking for trouble.

Tbf if Usman Khawaja can turn himself from basically that into the best batsman in a series full of rank turners...
Hard to put my finger on how Khawaja became so much better though.

Konstas will certainly get an enormous test in the SL series, both matches being at Galle. Unfortunate that with the BBL on they couldn't just get him to practice in the nets on a scalped pitch against Kuhnemann and Warren.

Unironically the big shift for him came when he added the reverse sweep into his game.

Whatever it takes!!!
Still think if they had to get Konstas in, M Marsh should have been the one dropped, not McSweeney. But I am just against dropping players who have done decently when making their debuts, as a rule.

That's exactly it, isn't it? Every tour they spit on our generosity.

Ever since Harbhajan was a racist and Tendulkar sanctioned it, lied about it and the BCCI protected them both India has kept the feeling in this series quite poor.

Never apologized for that either.
Tendulkar should never apologize for saving a brown man wrongly accused of racism by crickets nazi nation. He should get a commemorative plaque at Sydney for it if anything.

Khawaja was never bad, people thought he was bad as a counter-riposte of subtle racism to the racists who thought he was good at it because he was brown.

Look at the posters here and you can guess who fell into what camp.

Really not wanting to get into hyperbole, but that knock seriously turned the series on its head. Deep bad for McSweeney, but even if he batted as long as Konstas, Aus would be 1/40 odd not 90 or so. It’s changed the top order’s whole approach for the better

Marnus is looking more like peak marnus here. Said the same thing at adelaide, but that shuffle down and flick towards cow usually means he's seeing it pretty well.

I feel 350 to 400 would be par here. India has to recalibrate their bowling plans accordingly and set proper fields and not chase the ball, like Rohit usually does.

But dropping McSweeney won the Great the BBL game so it all worked out.

Tendulkar should apologize for saving an already racist man properly accused of further racism while on tour instead of on his own dung heap three months earlier when he said the same thing. His record should be forever marked down for it but 1.3 billion people strangely think his **** doesn’t stink.
Yeah
