DrWolverine
State Vice-Captain
Test batsman
His record will not look complete if he plays 150+ tests like Ponting, Dravid and co. 10th best of all time is a fair rating. He is somewhere in the 8th to 12th range. You know current players always get overrated during their playing days. Eg Bumrah. Not sure why you have rated Smith so low.
Steven Smith had arguably the second best peak, has a complete record and played majority of matches against good teams.
Good list. I'd swap Hutton with Lara, and Smith with Gavaskar.1. Sir Donald Bradman
2. Sir Jack Hobbs
3. Sachin Tendulkar
4. Sir Isaac Vivian Alexander Richards
5. Sir Garfield Sobers
6. Sir Len Hutton
7. Steven Smith
8. Brian Lara
9. Sir Walter Hammonds
10. Sunil Gavaskar
Hammond wasn’t a knight, nor were there clones of him running around.1. Sir Donald Bradman
2. Sir Jack Hobbs
3. Sachin Tendulkar
4. Sir Isaac Vivian Alexander Richards
5. Sir Garfield Sobers
6. Sir Len Hutton
7. Steven Smith
8. Brian Lara
9. Sir Walter Hammonds
10. Sunil Gavaskar
It'd be cool tho. You could play two Hammonds in your AT squad.Hammond wasn’t a knight, nor were there clones of him running around.
Solid list BTWSir Garry Sobers
Bradman
Tendulkar
Richards
Sobers
Hobbs
Smith
Lara
Hutton
Richards
Gavaskar / Hammond / Chappell
Don't think Smith is going up, but also the lowest he can fall for me is to switch places with Lara, which honestly he may have already.
Think possibly one of the two most underrated ATGs as a cricketer (not batsman). It'd be cool tho. You could play two Hammonds in your AT squad.
Hammonds is cooler than HammondHammond wasn’t a knight, nor were there clones of him running around.
I know, and it's fine. He played in the same era as Greg and no one thought Greg was better. Even Chappell's biggest advocate, Thompson, said Barry was at worst his equal.Solid list BTW
I do not agree with ranking of the other Richards though
Just saw your list againSir Garry Sobers

what?Just saw your list again
I do not agree with it at all
I saw a gap between the first name and second name and automatically assumed the first name was Bradman but you have placed Sobers as first
Sobers is listed as 4th. Him and Smith are bolded.Just saw your list again

Oh. That’s why he mentioned Sobers twice.what?
He's pretty clearly saying Sobers is better than Smith in this thread.
and then listing his top 10 batters lol.
Oh. That’s why he mentioned Sobers twice.
