The Scorchers need a good overseas top order batsman every year, and every year they fail to get one.
They're elite everywhere else, with one obvious weakness. Someone like Phil Salt or Risabh Pant would be huge for them.

Sadly the BCCI has something to say about Indians playing our terrible league

If they're wise they'll never allow it. I guarantee Rishabh will start dropping catches and chopping on to long hops from offies if he ever plays a game. Particularly if he played for Thunder or Strikers
