I always felt Jacques Kallis did not have any weakness at all. Maybe he was little defensive but it always felt SA could not lose as long as he was batting.

Sanga ain't the rear at all. He and Kallis have overall matching records.
But Sanga, unlike Kallis, could actually stamp his presence on a game.
Sanga has 11 double tons. He has a much better SR.
He has a matchwinning double ton against peak Shoaib in Pakistan. He has two back to back near ATG lone man fighting tons against peak Bond in NZ. He has that swashbuckling 192 in Australia against a top attack.
Say whatever you want about Kallis at home (let's talk bout him in England) but he had nowhere near the extra gear that made Sanga real threat.

Let's not pretend that Sanga was a great traveller either. Wasn't much better in England, not great in India, not to mention the Caribbean and South Africa.

Sang didn't get to travel enough to have more mega tours. WI is a low sample. Also let's not forget how keeping suppressed the early stage of batting as he admitted.
And Kallis was worse in England and not great in SL against Murali either.
Like I said, neither of their records has some significant advantage except Sanga was much more capable of dominating.
When on song, Sanga was a monster who the opposition feared. Not so Kallis.

While some if that is true, all I will say is what if Sanga had to play half his matches in SA instead of flat ass SL pitches that gave pacers nothing.
