Tammy Beaumont scores 65* from 46 in a rain-affected run chase against SA when England scored at 8rpo - can't believe she's deemed "too slow" for the T20s.

England looked in trouble at 25-3 and 63-4, but Beaumont and Jones made it look easy in the end. And yeah, once again Beaumont proving herself in a different class level to the likes of Dunkley and Bouchier.

A decent performance given they lost Cross in her first over and nice to see they can make a chase without relying on NSB or Knight.

SA 138/3. Wolvaardt out for 65, clear inside edge.
Dercksen played well for 41 but has a clear issue against the short ball at pace.

State Vice-Captain
Very poor collapse. Difference between the sides have been England had batters going onto 100. Our three who got to 50 didn't.
And for years, we moaned about the England men's team being unable to convert our fifties. Well Molehill, Ali TT and I certainly did!

Our batting is always our weakness. Its Laura/ Kappie or bust.
Although in defence of our ladies they dont get many oppurtunities to learn in the longest format

Luus had a rough patch but she has been scoring runs in Tests. We basically have a keeper plus three bowlers who can't make runs. I know the balance of the Women's teams are different but there are so many bowling options yet it seems there is a longish tail as well even with all the allrounders.

The keeper is a big issue. It isn't like she is flawless to make up for her lack of batting contribution either. 13 byes first innings and already 10 in the second.

I've never been that impressed by Jafta to be honest. We hardly play Tests so I know they are still trying to figure it out but it would be great if Dane makes it back into the team. A middle order of Dane,Kaap and Luus is more than decent. I know they dont want to over bowl Kaap because she is managing injuries but it's a shame she can't be used more. Her bowling upfront and then not anymore after until the new ball is tough on the side. This is essentially why Sekhukhune was picked as she basically started bowling from the second session on.

Is there a reason why Khaka has never played a test? Obviously, the formats are different, but given her white ball record you'd have thought they would have tried her at some point.

And was picking Bosch to open over Brits the right call? She didn't bowl, so if she's playing purely as a batter then wouldn't Brits possibly be a better option?

Khaka doesn't want to play red ball cricket. Doesn't make herself available for it.
