It's a weird blind spot in a sport that generally takes its rules very seriously, to a fault at times. Every club comp I've played in has at least 1 or 2 blatant chuckers that everyone knows about and is a running joke among everyone, but nothing ever happens.

One thing with the not no-balling people in a game is that you can't deal with situations where someone just blatantly chucks it, like Tim David did in a BBL match last year.

I wonder if player think they'll get away with it in lower profile matches. I remember just before he was banned Saeed Ajmal played for Worcesterhsire. While his action had been bad since throwing Pakistan to victory over England, it became truly diabolical during that 2014 County season. He was just pegging the ball at the batsman like he wasn't even trying to disguise it.

I thought he had pretty much retired anyway? I suppose he could try to play in a few t20 or similar comps but I guess he needs to do the work on his action to be allowed to bowl in them.

Shakib has always been one of them lads who made full use of his 15 degrees, but he seems to have got markedly worse in the last couple of years - compare 2022 (bit of flexion, but looks legal to me)

Versus 2024 (NO BALL!)

Looking at that clip it's a real mystery why England struggle against spin isn't it?

Yea you can see him pivoting more and using his body in the first clip Vs just pegging it down in the second clip
