Latham always looks a risk of getting hit on the pads with the angle his drive comes through at. Looks beautiful when it connects but awfully lazy when it misses.

I like the left hand right hand opening combo of Latham and Young.

They are turning over the strike and forcing the England bowlers to change their lines which Conway wasn't doing getting bogged down at one end.

I'm not writing off Conway just yet but I wouldn't be rushing him back to replace Young for our next test whenever that is.

The banks at Seddon Park look fantastic for viewing. Much gentler slope than at the basin.

2 tests in Zimbabwe July/August.

Conway and Williamson might be in T20s leagues anyway, and hopefully Rhys Mariu gets a chance.

Only been a test venue since 1991. 29 tests, 8 draws.

So in 21 results - 9 have been piss easy 4th innings chases.

Even the normally historically difficult targets of around 200 were all done at a canter.

Probably a reflection of it being modern times only venue, without the minefields of olden days venues. (Succesfully chasing at a canter, I mean)

Yeah, lovely place to watch cricket. And then you've got Good George only a couple of hundred metres from the gate as well.

They punched above their weight in the 2nd test and won the 1st test bcos we dropped about 8-9 catches. This should've been the decider.

Looking at statsguru. There haven't been many close results ever at Hamilton. Apart from 1992 when NZ got Waqared

Definitely should have. But I wonder if that would have changed anything about England's approach to this game (or ours, for that matter).
