The OP asked about post war. OtherwiseBradman’s 1930 Ashes is still pretty great too. For comparison vs Smith’s 2019 Ashes.

McGrath, of course, is more associated with seam than swing although (as I'm sure you know) he did do reverse swing. I was quite surprised when I saw a video of him (it could have been earlier this year, it might have been on Facebook, it might have been when McGrath was young) and it showed McGrath definitely bowling outswing. It might have been somewhat early outswing and not really late but I wasn't expecting to see outswing from him. I'm wondering whether he decided to forgo that and stick with seam. I'll have to try to find that video! Unless my memory is playing tricks on me!People talking about Hadlee being too similar to McGrath really ought to watch some of the swing in this video.

Yeah I’ve just seen some people who haven’t watched Hadlee enough lumping him together with McGrath and Ambrose when really, he was often swinging the ball.McGrath, of course, is more associated with seam than swing although (as I'm sure you know) he did do reverse swing. Did have back to back series vs Aus and Eng in 84 with 60 wickets (31 + 29) @ 17.7 opening the bowlingGarner for his batting.
Jfw, imagining getting out pulling a half tracker to third man in the first over of a test series. All 33 wickets (even though the cricket crazies here have probably already seen this video):

With his supernaturally long limbs for leverage and his giant hands tenaciously gripping the bat handle with crushing force, Joel was able to smite the ball with fearsome power:Garner for his batting.
All that says is Hilditch was trash. I mean that's the tactic used to get Stuart Broad out in his late career when he'd declined to a #10 bat.It was planned:

Hadlee's bouncer to Hilditch in the second innings looked quicker.
Way better than cringe T20 batters. With his supernaturally long limbs for leverage and his giant hands tenaciously gripping the bat handle with crushing force, Joel was able to smite the ball with fearsome power:
How? He's just heaving across the lineWay better than cringe T20 batters.
He's Joel Garner, that name alone is better than cringe T20 guysHow? He's just heaving across the line
Is that really the overriding sentiment though?People talking about Hadlee being too similar to McGrath really ought to watch some of the swing in this video.
