Carse and Bethell have been definite finds here, and Atkinson continues, Brook looks imperious too.
still a big departure in experience from Broad, Anderson, Wood and even Robinson from the last series. Also Bashir still seems a weak point in the side.

Bethell seems promising but needs to bat in more challenging conditions, Pope and Crawley as unreliable as ever and Stokes batting-wise starting to fade.

The batting was horrendous in the previous Ashes down under, no doubt. It appears we are slightly better equipped this time round but I think it will still be touch and go.

i still don't understand how impact can be umpire's call though. surely it's either in line or it isn't, there's no simulation and error involved??
