Yeah, never a run. But I’ll let RIS take this up with you.

From 40-4 to complete control of the game. I’ve had **** all sleep coz of Harry ****ing Brook, a knock you had to watch.
Joy of TNT Sports/Discovery+ as live feature for me.

Second and third session in bed this morning before work, just watch and skip between overs and deliveries get through 2 sessions in no time and no sleep deprivation.

Beautiful day at the Basin. Sunny and not too hot.

England got about 62 runs too many. Totally coincidentally, Southee picked up 0-62 from 12 overs. BuT he's DoNe It FoR uS bEfOrE, rIgHt ToM aNd GaRy?

Hard to see this is being anything other than done on day one. Even if the lower order bats well and keeps the margin to under 100, we'll see a tired bowling attack coming out to play on a flattening wicket.

Anyway, here's hoping that Blundell plays a great knock tomorrow and makes us all eat ****.

Some desperately out of form players in the NZ team . Conway ravindra Blundell sourhee . Smith has potential needs persevering with . Young needs to come back . Mariu a chance as opener and a genuine spin bowler .
Eh? He's bowled 1 over in his FC career!

Conway's hands are too hard and he doesn't pick length quickly enough. Was never moved even when he was prolific. Preferred Daryl. Carse keeps getting him.

That was some day of a test match. It appears England are in the ascendency but you never know with this England team

first hour this evening will be big for New Zealand if they can come through that still five down

England's score is probably just barely par and no more, but Williamson being out makes it look a lot bigger. For pretty much that reason alone I'm feeling quite confident.

I think it's 50 or so above par.

England are hot favourites from here. NZ will have to play out of their skin to force a result.

Think England did get a par score. This isn't an 80/5 deck at all imo. NZ can still salvage this though as they only need one big partnership. It might become better to bat on as the game progresses too.

This is only a good pitch to choose to bat second if you get a first innings lead, and I don't see NZ doing that. England need to press the advantage tonight.
