**Official** England in New Zealand 28 Nov-18 Dec 2024 - 3 Tests

Conway looks cooked, unless he makes a decent score in the second innings then surely it's worth giving Young a crack at opening in the third test.

Conway may never play another test. He won't tour Zimbabwe in July with T20 leagues on, so Young or Rhys Mariu/Curtis Heaphy/Dale Phillips might grab his spot.

Shame, as I think Conway could score more runs in Australia in 2 years than Latham could

That's a waste of a review Williamson hit his pad, not the ball.

When Conway had that great start to his test career I thought that I wish we had him playing on our last tour of Australia but I'm not so sure now.

I'm not giving up on him rediscovering his form again but he is 33 now and he will be 35 the next time that we tour Australia so he could get worse.

Mind you Will Young isn't that young anymore either, he is 32 now and he will be 34 the next time we tour Australia.

Latham will appreciate this:

9.1 B. Carse to T. Latham, Good effort to save a run! Carse starts with a loosener, full and on the pads, Jaiswal brings his wrists into play and flicks it through mid-wicket. Bashir gives it a chase and puts a slide in an attempt to prevent the ball from reaching the fence. It is referred upstairs for a boundary check. Bashir's knee is in contact with the rope but at that time, Bashir is not in contact with the ball. Three runs taken.

I suspect he hit this though another it's impossible to be sure, like the KL Rahul one. Probably right to stick with onfield decision.

Worth remembering with Conway that he's still a 3 or 4 who has adapted to opener. Worked while in top form.

Unfortunately, everyone else including the reserve want to bat 4 too.

Are they using some sort of line technology for no balls or is the 3rd ump just eyeballing it? Cos that didn’t look like one

Watching the replay again, for me they’re using the wrong frame
